The Skowhegan Holiday Stroll is this weekend, Dec. 2-4, and there will be some exciting things happening at Happyknits. Starting Friday Night with our 2nd FN Knitters, with warm drinks and late night secret shenanigans, (ahemyarnbombingahem). Saturday and Sunday, there will be a sale on some luxury fibers, alpaca, llama, wool/silk, angora, to keep you warm and cozy in the upcoming months. Saturday will also be host to all day drop in knitting by the fire. Bring a project and sit in our sit-and-knit area for a bit and visit. Pick up some free Christmas patterns while you are there, ornaments, stockings, elf hats, and grinch gloves 🙂 Saturday night, the Skowhegan Artwalk is happening and there will be some local artwork displayed, and for sale, as well as extended store hours until 8pm with snacks and drinks. I hear there will be live music in the entryway of the Gristmill. Sunday Morning is “Commuknity”. We will be having a knit circle from 10-Noon and will be knitting squares that will be joined together to make one and sent out to Project Linus (http://projectlinus.org/) to help needy kids in the United States. Sunday Afternoon, my friend Amy will be teaching a NEEDLE FELTING class from 1-3pm. You will learn to make snowman or other simple little creatures, or ornaments for your Christmas tree. Supplies will be included and the class fee is $20. Please sign up ahead of time at Happyknits for this class as space is limited. Oh it is beginning to look alot like Christmas!!!
