 On Saturday, August 12, we’re headed back to our local Bigelow Brewing Company for another Wine and Twine from 4-6 p.m. Bring your work-in-progress and join us for a bit of sip, snack, gab and knit or crochet. Rain or shine, we’ll be there! Please come!  The Maine Yarn Cruise is a fun way to see the State of Maine. This statewide yarn shop hop continues until October 9, 2023, so there is still a lot more time to join and explore. Pictured here is Happyknits’ August prize giveaway. Come in and add your name to the prize drawing!And while you’re out and about, don’t miss out on all of the fun activities happening in and around Skowhegan.  The Skowhegan River Fest is an annual multi-day celebration of recreation and life on the Kennebec River. This festival runs from August 1-6, and features family-friendly activities such as a whitewater kayaking clinic, a lobster bake and bed races. Check out their schedule to see it all.  Billed as the Nation’s longest continuously-running State Fair, the Skowhegan State Fair will open this year from August 10-19. Whether it’s the midway, the harness racing or the agricultural exhibits that strike your fancy, you’ll find it all there, plus more.
