Calling all Knitters and Crocheters…

   I was contacted by Deb Rich yesterday from KVCAP about a campaign happening in Maine to help prevent infant abuse and Shaken Baby Syndrome.  They are calling on all knitters and crocheters to knit or crochet PURPLE NEWBORN BABY HATS by October 26, 2011 and donate them so that all babies born in the month of November in Maine may recieve a purple hat to raise awareness.  The hats may be knit or crocheted in any shade of purple and any newborn baby hat pattern.  We will be collecting hats at Happyknits to send or you may send them directly to:  Lanelle Freeman  Kennebec Valley Community Action Program 97 Water St.  Waterville, ME 04901
