Maine Yarn Cruise 2022
The Fifth Annual Maine Yarn Cruise begins July 1 and runs through October 10,2022. Travel across Maine and visit all 22 shops participating in this year’s cruise. We once again have a new dishcloth/afghan square available representing our Special State. The Flax Leaf Stiff Aster represented in this pattern is native to the Skowhegan area and is vital to many insect pollinators and other animals. Our classes are offered based on interest, projects, and scheduling. We are an experienced group of knitters, and two of the four of us are also experienced crocheters. We offer private lessons, and the occasional instructional group class. Frequently you may see classes offered such as: beginner knitting or crocheting, socks, knitting in the round, double knitting, knitting in the round, lacework, colorwork, and many more. The class length and fees are determined according to the instructor’s design based on the project and what materials may or may not be included in the class fee. We ask for payment in advance to insure your reservation as class space is limited. We are always taking suggestions on class ideas or structure. Maine Yarn Cruise
Happyknits will be participating in the Maine Yarn Cruise, beginning Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 25, and continuing through the summer, until Labor Day, September 3, 2018. We are partnering up with Mother of Purl Yarn Shop in Freeport, along with 17 other shops for what will be an amazing yarn crawl. You can purchase your totes, which will include your passport, a gift, and a pattern for the collaborative quilt, at any participating yarn shop. Sit & Stitch
Join us during any of our business days for a Free Sit & Stitch. We have designated times each day for you to come on in, relax, wind a ball, knit, crochet, or plan a project. This is not instructional but definitely supportive! 🙂 Meet up with a friend for an hour all about you, or come in and meet someone new, or, it may just be you, quietly enjoying your time to be creative and recharge.
