“Entry to Entrelac”

Time to learn something new? Getting bored with knit and purl? Come learn entrelac, where you will be knitting a piece that looks like the knit sections are woven together! In this class you will learn the basics of entrelac.  Amanda will also work to help you design your own bag out of this design.

For the basic entrelac square bring 2 different colors of worsted or bulky weight yarn with appropriate needles.

These are the supplies needed if you are interested in making the bag in the photos:

2- 4oz skeins each of 2 colors of bulky weight 100% wool (brown sheep bulky works well for this)

1- 100g skein of worsted weight yarn

US sz 11 knitting needles and US sz 7 knitting needles

This class will be offered on Saturdays from 1:30pm-4:30pm starting 2/25, and then another session on 3/3.  Each session is $25 and you can attend either one or both if you wish.  There may also be a third session later in the month of March for any interested.  This class will be taught by Amanda, who has taught our Brioche class in the past and is a fantastic, adventurous knitter, as well a smart, movitated, and sweet person whom I am sure you would all really enjoy 🙂 Please stop in to Happyknits to sign up for this class as space is limited, limit being 4ppl maximum.  As always, anyone taking a class at Happyknits may bring their own supplies but will be offered a 10% discount on ANY yarn purchased either for the class or for the duration of the class period (just remember to remind me at the counter please…I don’t want to forget).   Call 474-7979 with any questions.
