What is going on here exactly?
Hi! I am not really sure what’s going on in this picture, but I AM sure that I love it! But I am here to say “hello” and tell you what IS going on here at Happyknits. Our new schedule is working nicely, rotating days, and getting settled in. We are learning things…about each other, a partnership, the business, organization, and YARN. We are happy.
We have started meeting with Yarn Reps and have made some orders. Our needles and notions are stocked up well now, and we have started carrying metal needles along with the bamboo and hardwood. We have been to Bartlett Yarns in Harmony and stocked up on their Worsted, and their new 50/50 alpaca/wool blend, worsted in beautiful natural colors. It’s fantastic, by the way. We have some Malabrigo Rios and Worsted on it’s way, and some Noro Sock yarn. We have unanimously agreed on our first new yarn, and have composed a wish list of colors and weights to be introducing to the store and all of you in late August. We are looking ahead at the calendar and the going’s on of downtown Skowhegan. 😉
We are hoping you are all having a very happy and relaxing summer….taking time each day to be creative. I admit that I fall into the seasonal knitter category, but my fingers are starting to twitch again as we anticipate lethargy settling in after the busy excitement of the summer sun. I love the warm days, followed by cool nights. Be good to yourselves….knit or crochet with something that makes you say “ahhhhhhh” 😉
