I’m HAPPY to introduce you to the new Happyknits, LLC gang. These fun ladies have decided to join me in the operation of your local yarn store, making it possible to keep Happyknits going, with the potential to be a MUCH better place to satisfy your fiber crafting needs. I am excited, relieved, inspired, and hopeful about the future.
Without sounding as though I am filling you up with promises, I will give you a little bit of info about some of these positive changes.
Starting Tuesday, July 1, 2014 we will be OPEN 5 DAYS/WEEK year round!!! Each one of us has decided to work a weekday, and we will rotate Saturdays where we will each cover a Saturday every 4 weeks. It works well for us so that we can each maintain our “other lives”. Best of both worlds…
Also…we have just gathered to do a thorough restocking of the needles and notions inventory. This was one of our first priorities and we have a nice plan to keep things in stock as best as possible. A little organization…who knew?? 😉
Knit Night will continue to be on Wednesdays from 5-8pm. Meanwhile, talk about more classes and events are enthusiastic and encouraging. And….two of the four of us are also crocheters 🙂
Discussions are underway for the planning of a grand GRAND OPENING later this summer. The month of July will be a nice time to do some transitioning and executive and creative planning. We will look ahead to the busy knitting/crocheting season and work on getting our calendar up to date and consistent.
We will try to stock up our knitted goods section of the store….items that are pre-knit and tagged for sale, and we plan on updating samples in the store more regularly, inspiring you all creatively with new ideas and to showcase the store’s yarn inventory.
We are revamping some policies…special ordering, returns, sample knitting, teaching and consignment contracts, even layaway potentially.
We are hoping to incorporate a small area that will be accessible to you all to browse Ravelry for patterns on your own if you wish.
And lastly….for now….we are hoping to be able to get a small order of something new (yarn) on a more regular basis. Just a small sample to wet your whistle, see if it’s worth keeping around.
Please come to us with any of those great ideas you have…we will jot it down in our ‘Big Book of Good Ideas” and give them careful and serious consideration, and of course any feedback you have on how you feel we are handling things is always appreciated, positive or constructive. 🙂
Please pop in and say “hi” when you get the chance…meet the new women, introduce yourself, sit and knit…
Thanks for reading and thanks to all of your patience, and kindness, and support. You’re the best!
