Hi 🙂 The Holiday Stroll is downtown Skowhegan is upon us again! Lights are hung, windows are decorated, there’s snow on the ground. The people in the Skowhegan area are feeling the holiday cheer 🙂 I hope you all get a chance to get out in town this weekend and enjoy the spirit in the air.
At Happyknits, we are feeling it 😉 Here’s what we have planned….
Karla will be at the store on Friday with extended shopping hours until 8 o’clock. When you head over to the parade, be sure to swing in and say hello.
On Saturday, Julie will be opening for regular business hours, 9-3pm. The Farmer’s Market will be going on from 11-1pm, and there will be activities for children in the entryway….craft activities for the kids until 1pm.
At 3 o’clock, just after the store closes, MaryLou and Sarah will be there hosting a Christmas ornament knit-a-long. We have been busy knitting and constructing little ornament kits, equipped with yarn, needles, and a free pattern. The kits are $8.50 and you can choose from 4 different designs, with a few different color options. We have about 20 kits made. It is not necessary you register or sign up ahead of time, but of course always helpful, and you are free of course to come in at any time on Saturday and choose your kit. The knit-a-long will end at 5pm which should give you plenty of time to finish your ornament…..and just think of all the good laughs you will have in the meantime 🙂
Enjoy your weekend Everybody….we hope to see you!!
Thanks for reading 🙂
