Holiday Stroll is just around the corner…See what’s up at Happyknits

The Holiday Stroll is among us. The dates for this year’s downtown festivities are 11/30-12/2. Here’s a quick rundown of what kind of holiday knit will be happening around here…because after all…Knit Happens, right? 🙂

Thursday, 11/29: A special kind of KNIT NIGHT…I won’t give out too much info, but I promise it’s gonna be the BOMB 😉 Starting at 5pm and “wrapping” up around 8-8:30pm.

Friday, 11/30: The Skowhegan Artwalk resumes again after taking a month off in October. Happyknits will host the one and only Khristina Thayer of The Naked Ewe. There will be other artists in the building as well for your shopping pleasure. All this goes on while the Holiday Parade parades around the rotary at 7pm. So Happyknits will participate in the special holiday hours, staying open until 8pm.

12/1, Saturday: LUXURY FIBER SALE!! Shop for someone special and spoil them with a luxury fiber like Alpaca, Angora, Cashmere, Silk, or blends of some of the above. 25% off select Luxury Yarns.

Knitted/Beaded Ornament Class from 2-4pm. In this two hour class you will create a beautiful hand knitted christmas ball with beadwork to adorn yours or someone special’s Christmas tree. You should be comfortable with casting on and knitting in the round, OR this ornament can be done flat on straight needles and seamed, US sz 2 needles, and Fingering/or Sock weight yarn.  You will learn the Beading Technique.  Call or stop by to sign up.  Fee $12.
