These are a few of the blankets in my library on Ravelry. I have been looking at blankets because I love the two we have at home that my Mom knitted for my girls for their birthdays a couple years ago. I also love to have a big project going so that in between projects, I have something to work on a little at a time, then one day finishing it as though I just started it 🙂
I am thinking it would be even more fun to get a group of people together for a blanket Knit-a-long (KAL). That would it would not seem so hard to decide which one I want to knit because I could have the vicarious knitting experience through others 🙂
I have been pondering when to hold this, because scheduling is so difficult. I know not all times will work for everyone but what I am imaging is Tuesdays and Thursday 1:30-3:30(ish). I would say we could go 4 weeks at a time and see what progress is made.
This is a free group but I would have to put a limit on the number because it is within store hours, so I would have to have people sign up ahead of time. I can take 5 on Tuesday, and 5 on Thursday. If one or the other doesn’t fill up and you want to come both days that would be great, but I would like to offer this to as many as are interested. This is not a class and would not be run by an instructor, but friendly advice is always available.
There are a number of patterns that are either free or available for purchase at the store and it may be possible to special order certain yarns if interested.
I would like to start this as soon as possible while still having enough time to get the word out, so let’s aim for TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5TH, and THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7th to begin.
Call to reserve a spot, 474-7979, or email, peacelovehappyknits@gmail.com, or stop in Tuesday-Friday (see fall/winter business hours) and sign up!! Thanks 🙂
YAY!!

I wish we were in Maine! I’d so be knitting with you! But, alas, we’re in Florida where they believe that 42 degrees is winter! 🙂
Wishing you all happy knitting!
